TIMOTHY AKERS & MERLIN BURROWS
A story like no other begins with the great man that
was our dear friend and mentor, Timothy Akers.
Tim passed away after a battle with cancer
in 2020, but the legacy he left us will
live on forever.
His work is continued through
his team at Merlin Burrows
and Ingenio Films.
The technologies and techniques utilized by our team
includes SatScan Satellite Scanning Technologies (MB)
along with a diverse number of cutting edge technologies
such as Lidar, Multi Axis Echosounder, Hydrographic Scans,
Photogrammetry and other laboratory sciences. The work
we perform is non-invasive, however we do also conduct
laboratory analyses when the legal system allows us to,
always in collaboration with top governmental entities.
What distinguishes us from other groups is that we utilize every aspect of technology available today in order to validate a discovery. Old fashioned research is corroborated by whichever technology can be used in that specific event. To the right, you can see a sample Photogrammetry scan. This technology can be performed from the air or under water and it allows us to scan in centimetric detail, artifacts which we can later analyze in greater depth. This is particularly useful in a plethora of situations, particularly when we have a time limit when examining structures half submerged, or structures we might not be able to return to.
The dedication of our team members at Merlin Burrows and Ingenio Films continues with great fervor and dedication. Every team member brings something unique to our expeditions, and as a result, we have been able to track and find lost artifacts all over the planet.
